Share Documents in WhatsApp - New Update

Soon you will be able to Share Documents in Whatsapp as WhatsApp is slowly implementing this feature like other messaging apps.

New Document Option

But you can try this feature now, Download the app from Here or join their Beta program to receive latest updates (may contain bugs).

After you update the app you will see a new Document option in Attachments menu.

• Tap it and select the PDF file you want to share.
• Currently, you will be able to share only PDF files, for now.
• List of PDF files will show available in your device as there is no navigation option to go into a directory to select a particular PDF file.
• You can't share .docx or .pptx files.
• As this is in beta stage these features will be added soon.

The update is rolling out in stages as it is server sided so if you have the latest version from Play Store you will be able to receive document files but won't be able to send.
If you want to share document files Download the latest beta version of Whatsapp.
There are few other changes also if you visit a profile which is now stretched, in Media there will be two tabs one Media showing your shared images and videos with the person or group and other Documents tab showing shared documents.

Soon Whatsapp will add support to send other file types also so this beta dance will continue for few days. So, Stay Tuned.
